Chili

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 (46 fluid ounce) can tomato juice
1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/4 cup chili powder

Chili is easy RDL. Half of the ingredients are spices. You cook the ground beef (until it's brown), add tomato juice, tomato sauce, kidney beans, pinto beans, chop and add an onion and green bell pepper. Cook everything together. Add the spices that you want to - those are the quantities recommended. Finished.

i've never made chili:) i should try it, it doesn't seem very hard..

It's not, at all. My mom used to add chopped celery. How my mom would make it is add a large can of kidney beans, a large can of stewed tomatoes, chopped onion, cooked ground beef and then spices (chilli powder, salt, pepper - I can't remember what else). Super easy.

I like cooking up black beans - that's what I have going today. Black beans, garlic, salt, pepper and I put a little madras curry powder (but I regret that choice).
