The U.S.A.'s grip on World power is very fragile and tenuous. It can go at any time. They are (understandably) worried about losing out on their superpower status. Their grip is slipping.

It is incorrect to say that the Americans "created" ISIS. ISIS was created by the people of that region;
BUT .... what we CAN say, is that ISIS was created as a DIRECT RESULT of American foreign policies. It was a reaction, a response, to U.S. actions in that area. But the Yanks did not create ISIS.
The facts are obvious and stare at us in the face. The U.S. got rid of Saddam Hussein. That led to a 'power vacuum'. That vacuum has now been filled by ISIS.
If the Yanks hadn't interfered the way they did, things would be different. U.S. meddling has caused this.

The Americans can't win. Anything they do in that region--ANYTHING--will go against them.
For a nation to fall apart when the occupying imperialist power leaves, is standard and can reasonably be expected.
It happens every time. Once the occupation ends, chaos descends, because the imperial power is a unifying force. Once that unifying authority leaves, power is 'up for grabs'.

I strongly believe the influence and goals of Europe have been greatly underestimated. Yes the whole organization (the EU) seems beset with countless problems, is too large and unwieldy for its own good and doesn't seem to know what it is doing. That I think is about to change, or at least will change in the relatively near future.

The EU will likely become smaller with some member states either evicted or perhaps, leaving of their own accord. Greece and Great Britain are two obvious candidates for this, but others may also leave. Those that remain will probably further cement their unity and become much stronger than they are now, the sum being much greater than its collective parts. Eventually this will spell the end of islam, most likely violently, as that destructive and unholy presence seems to be begging for a major confrontation. It will have its wish and it will lose.

There are, no doubt many who will disagree with my assessment but with an eye to Europe's past its future becomes quite clear.
