Leftovers tonight from Modern Handi East Indian restaurant. The food was so good. Lamb Rogan Josh, Vegetable Biryani, vegetable Jalfrezie, papadum with mint chutney and garlic naan. The meat is super tender. I have to find something for dessert.

I came to get down.

Butter chicken and samosa’s are not bad imo. Same with donair and gyros once in while.

Ever had Nandos peri-peri chicken? that is some good stuff.

Just one? I could eat two or four of them right about now. Not that I would ever want to eat turkey burgers.

Making garlic ribs. You can smell it out into the halls of my building. Ribs covered for 1.5 hours at 350. Smothered in minced garlic and pepper salt and italian herbs. Then I baste it for 40 minutes or so every five minutes. Potato salad and a mixed berry salad with kale. Yes I like kale. It is healthy and good.

It's JUST healthy, period. :D
It's a beautiful garnish, or to serve a nice dollop of potato salad ON...but that's it. :D

I'm in for the garlic ribs though. =)))

I guess I am just lucky to like something so healthy that most people detest. I still want to try making chips out of them. I saw a recipe a while back.

That IS lucky indeed.

Hey...off topic a wee bit...but have you ever tried deep-fried parsley ?
It's probably more 'fun' than anything else, but it's really good.
I wouldn't ever do it JUST for the parsley, but if you happen to be deep frying anything else...throw in a few sprigs of fresh parsley when you're done.
They 'fizz up' quickly. Remove them and salt immediately. It collapses in your mouth in a super delicate way. Pretty garnish, but fun to eat. =) Try it...you'll like it ! :D

I didn't know that was a thing. I'll try it. In a couple days maybe. My power will be out all day tomorrow. I'll have to go out for dinner or order out. Good night.

Meem, I made a second lot of granola last night. 1.5 times measure (that’s how much oats we had).

I am off grains except for granola:))

/I decreased sugar by a third. It’s still plenty sweet. Yum!!

Once cut down sugar, everything will taste so sweet even with very little sugar in it

Good to hear the alterations worked for you.
I never had an issue with the sugar...because I thought that's what lent itself to the crunchy crispiness. I'd have cut back on the other sweeties before the sugar, for that reason....but good to hear it worked.

It’s so good. The crunch is divine, I baked it longer this time.

I think I weaned myself off of sugar, meem. Not on purpose, it just happened. I remember still liking Nutella some 3-4 years ago. 2/3 of nutella is pure sugar.
