I saw a video of a guy who went to fix his empty house and a squatter moved in, changed the locks and claimed she owned the place. There was nothing he could do. It was fucked.

So he parked his car out front the house the next day, she went to work....he broke in immediately and changed the locks. Moved all of her shit to the curb. Then this time, she called the police and there was nothing she could do.

Smart move on the home owners part. Just take it back without having to deal with laws that don't protect him.
