Bruce has gotten into this vulgar racist of pattern of alluding to black people as gorillas, apes, monkeys, simians or whatever slur. The irony is that centuries ago the peoples of Asia had similar racist legends about him. People in the days of sailing ships sometimes believed that Europeans resulted from humans mating with the yeti or ye-ren, the abominable snowman of the Himalayas.
